Even the best water on earth went through a pipe first.

Iceland's tap water is some of the cleanest on the planet. It still runs through metal that's been in the ground for decades. A good source doesn't buy you a clean delivery.

Rust and sediment don't come from the reservoir, they come from the last few meters of pipe, wherever that pipe is.

Hard water minerals build up regardless of what the label on the water report says.

Chlorine is added on purpose to make water safe to pipe. That's exactly why it's still in there when it reaches you.
